Marc-Philippe Lumpé, Chief Operations Officer, Air Transat

Marc-Philippe Lumpé is the Chief Operating Officer at Air Transat, a position he has been in since 2022. With over 20 years of professional experience in the aviation and defence sectors, Marc-Philippe oversees all aspects of the company's operations, ensuring that strategic vision and operational excellence are seamlessly integrated. Before joining Air Transat, Marc-Philippe held senior leadership roles at Virgin Atlantic Airways, Qatar Airways, Thomas Cook, Air Berlin, and several posts in the German armed forces, where he now holds the rank of lieutenant colonel. Throughout his career, Marc-Philippe has led numerous transformation initiatives across airline operations, aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul, IT, and commercial functions. A professional airline pilot by training, Marc-Philippe earned a PhD in Leadership and Organization from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom, as well as a master's degree in economics and an MBA from the University of Hagen in Germany.
