Sulagna Bhattacharya, CEO, Nanoscope Therapeutics

Driven by a personal mission to find a treatment for retinitis pigmentosa, Sulagna Bhattacharya co-founded Nanoscope Therapeutics and serves as CEO. She leads a diverse team working to restore sight for millions with inherited retinal diseases that currently have no cure. A serial entrepreneur, Sulagna has launched multiple biotech and biomedical device companies. Before that, she spent over a decade in management consulting at Deloitte and Hitachi, specializing in business intelligence and risk management. Sulagna serves on the Board of Directors of the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) and several key BIO committees. She is also an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at UT Southwestern Medical School. Sulagna’s achievements have earned her recognition as an EY Entrepreneur of the Year (2022) and one of the Top 25 Women Leaders in Biotech (2023). She holds a B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics and Communications and earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
