Peter joined Hilton South Africa as the Cluster HR Manager on 25 March 2014. At that stage he relocated from the mother city- Cape Town to the City of Gold- Johannesburg. He values family and teaches his kids the same, ensuring they understand the importance of family values. He travels to see them every three weeks spending quality time with them.
Peter is responsible in ensuring a standardized and uniformed approach for his area of responsibility in South Africa. One area of expertise worth mentioning is his work in the space of Youth empowerment, Career development and the creating of opportunities for Youth in the Tourism and Hospitality sector.
He is actively involved in the Hilton career month, National Tourism Careers Expo and various other initiatives aimed at supporting careers in the sector. High on his agenda is his relationships with the National Department of Tourism and Cathsseta.
Peter recently appeared on CNBC Africa Xchange morning show. The discussion centred around the Youth unemployment situation and Hilton’s agenda of creating opportunities for Youth. He is very passionate about this.
Peter completed a National Diploma in Human Resources from Cape Peninsula University of Technology and is currently studying towards a Bachelor of Commerce in Industrial and Organizational Psychology with Unisa.
