Kristen Welch is a Forensic Document Examiner at the Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations Forensic Laboratory in McLean, VA. Kristen has over fifteen years of experience in the field of forensic document examination. As an examiner with HSI, she routinely conducts examinations of domestic and international travel and identification documents to determine their authenticity and reveal alterations. She is active in national and international professional development activities, and regularly attends professional meetings and workshops. She is a member of the American Society of Questioned Document Examiners and the Midwestern Association of Forensic Scientists. She is certified by the American Board of Forensic Document Examiners.
