Throughout her career, Girija has been at the forefront of educational innovation, spearheading the development of inquiry-based learning programs in Science and integrating digital tools to foster deep learning experiences. Her commitment to enhancing teaching quality led her to create competency standards for faculty development, ensuring higher education educators are equipped with the necessary skills to excel in their roles. Girija has played a pivotal role in leading a team to develop multimedia digital content for lecturer and student learning portals. Her involvement in various projects, including chairing initiatives focused on Professional Development for Teaching and Learning and ICT-enhanced teaching, underscores her leadership and expertise in educational technology. During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Girija demonstrated leadership by guiding the teaching community in transitioning to online instruction.
