Dr Walter Barbieri | Lecturer of Education; eLearning Program

Dr Barbieri teaches and coordinates courses in the Bachelor of Teaching and the Master of Teaching degrees, preparing the teachers of the future. Walter also leads the eLearning Program, embedding contemporary technologies and pedagogies throughout the School of Education's courses. His research interests span the breadth of educational technologies, but also explore school culture and professional learning. Walter’s university teaching has been awarded a Commendation for the Enhancement and Innovation of Student Learning (2019) and a Faculty of Arts Prize for Excellence in Teaching (2021). Prior to his university career, Walter was a secondary school teacher and leader for two decades in schools across three countries.
