Paul Daniell, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, NSW Education Standards Authority

Paul currently works as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer at the NSW Education Standards Authority.  His role includes working with the NESA Board, executives and stakeholders to develop and deliver organisational strategy, and ensure coherence across NESA’s policy reforms and organizational transformation.

Before moving to the education sector, Paul worked in the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet leading the NSW Government Behavioural Insights Unit and whole of government programs to prevent violent extremism.  Previously, Paul worked in international and security policy with the Australian Government, representing Australia in several diplomatic postings.

Paul also leverages his experience to work as an educator and executive coach, including teaching coaching psychology and leadership at the University of Sydney.
