With more than a decade of experience in the education sector as a teacher, instructional designer and education manager, Nerissa has an established record of developing innovative and results focused solutions and of delivering quality outcomes for product and services. While working as the Digital Learning Manager at CSIRO Education and Outreach, Nerissa is also completing a PhD with Swinburne University of Technology.
She has extensive experience working and collaborating with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures and as a proud Anaiwan woman she is committed to taking a leadership role in championing a positive and inclusive working environment.
Nerissa’s practice-led PhD research examines how an Indigenous design thinking, being and doing framework can transform pedagogical approaches and learning methods to enhance digital engagement and STEM learning for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young women enrolled in CSIRO’s Young Indigenous Women’s STEM Academy.
