A passionate educator and change maker with a keen interest in cyber safety education, Mona has been a leader and innovator in the Education sector for over 20 years. In her current role as Cyber Security Awareness and Education Manager at the NSW Department of Education, she has been at the forefront of developing partnerships and delivering cyber security training and awareness resources for staff, students, and parents. She has enthusiastically led the development of Cybermarvel for October’s cyber security awareness month and made it available for schools across Australia. Due to her ability to develop strong and sustainable links with industry and government, Mona has been making a difference in the areas of online safety education, student wellbeing, parent awareness and resources, and professional learning for educators. Her aim is to build students’ capacity and agency in cyber with the development of learning and career progression pathway.
