Melissa O'Loughlin, Science  & STEM Coordinator, Gleeson College

Melissa started her career as a Research Scientist studying breast and prostate cancer at The University of Adelaide and SA Pathology. She moved into the school system and is now the Science and STEM Coordinator at Gleeson College. In 2021 Melissa and her colleague, Jason Puttnins, co-hosted a webinar with The University of Adelaide about the possibilities of VR in a school setting. Other highlights include working at Science Alive with AFC STEM Footy. Melissa was instrumental in the 2021 Catholic STEM Make A Difference (STEM MAD) competition by assisting the students in winning the state title and winning two national awards.
