Dr Mathieu O'Neil, A/Prof of Communication, University of Canberra

Mathieu is Associate Professor of Communication at the University of Canberra’s News & Media Research Centre, where he leads the Critical Conversations Lab, and Honorary Associate Professor of Sociology at the Australian National University, where he contributed to the founding of the Virtual Observatory for the Study of Online Networks. He researches the digital commons, media literacy and the adoption of causes and innovations in the online environment. He founded the Journal of Peer Production in 2010 and the Digital Commons Policy Council think tank in 2021.
