Engage the neurodiverse and apply literacy skills - Filmmaking in the classroom.

In this session, Lindsay will focus on the importance of using film and media to engage, develop and apply literacy skills in students whilst enhancing their media competencies. He will explore how filmmaking lends itself to greater literacy comprehension in students by offering a dynamic alternative method of information presentation and processing that is favoured by the "Digital Native Generation", proving particularly advantageous for neurodiverse and visual learners. He then will conclude by explaining how StarTime can support building a strategic and sustainable film and media literacy culture at your school; thereby increasing the accesibility of the curriculum to a diverse array of students.
