Jen is currently the Global Director of Education and Technology for CYPHER LEARNING (a global company that specializes in providing learning platforms for organizations around the world) and a passionate educator with more than 20 years of experience in the field. As CYPHER LEARNING’S Global EdTech Director, Jen established the company’s Educational Technology Centers worldwide (APAC, Europe, Latin America, Middle East, USA). She also developed strategies on client training, LMS implementation, consultation, content migration that is executed globally and helps customers roll out their E-learning implementation plans and initiatives. Her Team also develops and designs online courses, resources, webinars to provide clients an amazing experience of the full functionality of the learning platforms. She established EdTech and Sales Adoption Process for CYPHER LEARNING along with other business processes related to EdTech within the company. Jen established and currently manages 3 departments under the Global EdTech Team. The ELITE/EdTech unit which a client facing unit that takes care of client training, consultation, implementation and e-learning integration in schools, universities and business organizations. The CLAD (CYPHER LEARNING Academy Division), which functions as the internal training arm of the company whose mission is to Educate, Empower and Elevate the CYPHER LEARNING Team’s skills and competencies and the third one, the D.A.R.T (Digital Asset Research Team) responsible for researching, collecting and curating various digital assets used in the company’s platform. Jen is also started the advocacy on Disaster-Proof Education across the Philippines and worldwide. Calamities such as typhoons, earthquakes, and heavy monsoon rains, often cause school days and classes to be suspended. Jen promotes in her talks and seminars a way by which learning can continue despite weather disturbances, using various digital tools and EdTech strategies. Jen’s educational background. She studied Computer Science at De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) in Cavite, Philippines graduated in 1998. In 2010, Jen graduated from the Technological University of the Philippines with a Master’s degree in Management and became an educator in June 2010. Before she became an educator, she served the DLSU-D community as the department secretary for 11 years. This experience contributed greatly to her career as an educator. She is also the former Director of the Center for Innovative Learning Programs at De La Salle University-Dasmarinas, then leading a team of 5, managing the university’s e-learning environment and training an estimate of 14,000 students and 700 teachers. In 2013, Jen became one of the Microsoft Education Ambassadors in the Philippines. In 2014, she was selected as one of the Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts worldwide. In 2015, Jen was chosen as one of the only 2 educators, to represent the Philippines in the Microsoft Global Educator Forum in Seattle, Washington. Her involvement in the Microsoft community and her passion for education and technology led her to become a “teaching with technology” trainer, helping teachers from private and public schools around the world to integrate technology in their classrooms, both in a virtual and face-to-face delivery mode. She does free training for public schools as part of her advocacy. In 2018, Jen was given an award on Excellence in eLearning in the World Education Congress held in Mumbai India.
