Jackie Child, Junior School Technologies Coordinator, St Aidan's Anglican Girls' School

Jackie grew up in England and as a child wanted to be a teacher. She was always fascinated by cars and became one of England’s top female rally drivers, driving Fiat’s for a large distributor in SE England.

Jackie has been teaching primary age students for over 40 years in England, Solomon Islands and Australia. She has held many roles including Senior Primary Teacher, Head of Sport and Art, Deputy Principal, Teacher Librarian and most recently, Technologies Coordinator for Prep – Grade 8 at St Aidan’s Anglican Girls’ School in Brisbane.

Jackie has written journal articles, presented at conferences, workshops and webinars on technology and STEM in the library and classroom. She is the author of TinkeringChild.com and a sessional tutor at Griffith University for pre-service teachers in using technology to enhance students’ and teachers’ learning.
