Cartwright Ramsey | Head of English
Bayside Christian College

Cartwright Ramsey, Head of English, Bayside Christian College

Over the last 10 years, Cart has been observing and researching the evolution of literary expression.

He has lectured in Literary Theory and Criticism at Heritage College and birthed Literature programs and Learning Management Systems in various school environments. During his time at The Southport School, he conceived, wrote and introduced an innovative new subject into the English stream in Year 10: Digital Literature and Immersive Texts (DLIT). The subject acknowledges the monumental shift in the transition of the medium of literature. Steve believes we were literary before the novel, and will be after the novel.

We are witnessing another transformative stage of how human beings engage with narrative and literature and the males couldn’t be happier. This project is being pioneered and developed further at Victory College, Gympie. For those who want to learn more about how to open literary doors in the curriculum to engage students, particularly boys, this will be a fresh take on what we deem important in this area.
