StepsWeb was set up in 2001 to provide literacy resources which are innovative, effective, enjoyable and research-based. The company originally aimed to cater for the needs of struggling learners, particularly those with dyslexia and other learning difficulties. However, their online programme, StepsWeb, is now also being used as a whole-school resource, enabling every learner to work at their own speed and level.
StepsWeb continually analyses each learner’s needs and creates individualized reinforcement, including online activities and printable resources. It enables teachers to identify learners who are struggling with reading/spelling, comprehension/language awareness or phonic knowledge and skills.
StepsWeb works on any device and caters for learners of every age. It includes sophisticated diagnostic facilities, including a test (world first!) which will indicate if a learner is using the right part of the brain for reading fluency.
