Banqer is an online financial education platform for schools. Launched with the vision to empower the next generations' financial future, Banqer has been used by over 270,000 Australasian students. Through a simulated economy, Banqer students develop financial literacy skills that have real-life applications, covering concepts like banking, budgeting, insurance and investments. Secondary school students also get to explore a mock stock market, learning how to assess opportunities, and the value of compound interest. Banqer teachers have said the platform provides "a financial bridge between now and the students’ futures" and it repeatedly earns "the highest engagement levels of any program we have done." Banqer has been recognized as a leader in their field, winning the NZ High Tech Awards 2018, the 2017 Economic Citizenship Education Award in the Global Inclusion Awards, and were finalists in the 2021 Westpac Champion Business Awards. The company is currently focused on growing its presence in Australian schools.
