Dr. Sebastian Kress is a postdoctoral scientist at the Institute of Cell and Tissue Culture Technologies at BOKU, Vienna, Austria. His research focuses on non-destructive online monitoring of metabolic parameters and the secretome of 3D cell cultures combining dynamic cultivation systems and biosensors. Mimicking physiological culture conditions is crucial to gain reliable and conclusive data and to reduce animal experiments initiated due to false positive results.  Before, he was employed at the department of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine at the University Hospital Würzburg, Germany. There, his work focused on vascularization of 3D tissue and cell-based drug delivery.
