C. David Pauza, PhD is Chief Science Officer for American Gene Technologies and former Professor of Medicine at the University of Maryland Medical School in Baltimore. Prior to joining AGT, Dr. Pauza was Associate Director for the university?s prestigious Institute of Human Virology and Co-Leader of the Greenebaum Cancer Center Program in Viral Oncology. Dr. Pauza was recognized by numerous awards and invited lectureships including having held the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization Professorship in Biotechnology.  He is an internationally recognized expert in cancer, human viral diseases, and viral vectors for gene therapy. Dr. Pauza has been Chief Science Officer for American Gene Technologies since 2016 and holds multiple patents for gene therapy of infectious diseases and cancer.
