Dr. Zakir is an experienced Human Resource professional with 18 years of experience. He is
involved in senior level decision making and strategic direction of the organization with
respect to People Management and is presently associated as the General Manager – Group
HR with Al Shirawi Group of companies and leads HR function for UAE, Qatar, Oman &
Kuwait. He is responsible for developing and implementing HR programs and policies for 21
companies at Al Shirawi Group in alignment with the group’s overall business objectives. He
is leading a team of 30 HR professionals.
Dr. Zakir is a man of distinguished academic pedigree. His qualification includes PhD Doctor
of Philosophy, Master’s in Commerce, Master’s in Business Administration, Master’s in Law
and a Graduate in Human Resources. He is also certified in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
Under his leadership, Leminar Air Conditioning Co. has won the “Great Places to Work
Award” four years in a row. He has also been recognized in various industry forums
nationally and internationally and won several awards for his contributions to Human
Resource fraternity.
Dr. Zakir is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. His interests include reading, travel,
adventure and socializing.
