Ihsan Anabtawi, Chief Operating and Marketing Officer, Microsoft Gulf

As the COO and CMO for Microsoft Corporation in the Gulf region, Anabtawi is responsible for end to end operations, business strategy, marketing and communications across all Microsoft's businesses, which span Intelligent Cloud, Productivity and Business Processes, and Personal Computing, covering all commercial segments including Enterprise, Public Sector, Small Business and Corporate segments, and the Commercial Partner organization. The Marketing and Operations organization is chartered with driving Cloud growth for Microsoft and its partners by helping companies digitally transform, with focus on 4 solution areas: Data & AI, Apps and Infrastructure, Modern Workplace, and Business Applications across Microsoft's commercial segments and priority industries.
Prior to assuming his current role, Anabtawi has spent the last four years as the Regional Director of the Microsoft Office Product Group – the largest commercial business at the company – leading Microsoft’s business across productivity, collaboration, communications, security, and other information services in the Gulf region. His organization played a key role in driving the digital transformation of commercial customers and partners to help them rethink their business models and realize greater business value through technology. 
A 13-year Microsoft veteran, Anabtawi joined Microsoft in 2004 and has served in several roles in Microsoft's global sales, marketing and operations organization. He was the Regional Director of the Office Product Group covering the North Africa, Eastern Mediterranean and Pakistan region spanning 12 countries, and before that he served as the Marketing and Operations Manager for the Microsoft subsidiary in Jordan, and as a Solutions and Technology Strategist in both Jordan and Saudi Arabia. Anabtawi holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Jordan, and received executive education from The Wharton School, INSEAD and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He lives in Dubai with his wife and two children.
