Marc is a Director of Systems Engineering at Nokia, a global leader in optical telecommunications. With a focus on subsea optical transmission and SLTE technology, he collaborates closely with Webscale subsea teams to help achieve their data transmission goals. 
Marc's optical communications career has spanned industrial R&D (Nortel, Marconi, Ericsson) as well as academic research, marked by co-inventorship on multiple patents and >sixty scientific publications, primarily in the fields of nonlinearity compensation and wideband amplification. A Visiting Industrial Fellow at Aston University, Marc continues to bridge the gap between academic exploration and practical applications.
