Aldo Righetti is a visionary entrepreneur and one of the Founder of Subphoton srl, a cutting-edge technology company specializing in the development of advanced solutions for the submarine fiber industry. With over 40 years of experience in the telecommunications sector, Aldo is a recognized expert in optical networking and submarine cable systems.

Aldo brn in Milan (Italy) on September 3 1956 and graduate in Nuclear Engineering in 1981. From 1986 to 1993 Aldo worked in Pirelli Cavi R&D with a pioneering activity in developing the Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA) culminated in the installation of the first operative link between Chicago and Salt Lake City using EDFA. From 1994 to 2002 Aldo was responsible for the development of the Pirelli submarine telecommunication system and participate to the design, production and installation of a number of links as Rome-Palermo (first submarine WDM operative system) and LEV linking Sicily to Tel Aviv. From 2003 to 2019 Aldo worked for CORECOM and Fondazione CIFE in developing innovative transmission optical systems and as consultant for developing submarine repeaters for Padtec (Brazil) and IPG Italy. in 2018 Aldo founded with four partners Subphoton were he act as R&D director.
