Thomas started his career in the vacuum coating technology. From 2005, he finally switched to PV technology via the PV modules with thin layers. There he set up the Swiss test and certification laboratory at SUPSI and headed the research on module quality. From 2015 to 2020 he was CTO in a startup company for DSC modules (H.Glass)  and since 2020 for Kromatix as CTO/COO. He has also developed his own irradiation sensor for monitoring the performance and pollution of PV systems.
