Matthias Bucher is currently acting as the Head of Research & Digitalization at the Swiss national grid operator Swissgrid. Since 2016 he held different positions in the area of the development of balancing markets, strategic grid planning and system design. Before joining Swissgrid he worked at ETH Zurich, from where he also holds a MSc and a PhD degree in information technology and electrical engineering.
