Markus Wenig is Co-founder & CEO of nihito GmbH, an ETH Zürich spin-off helping commercial fleets electrify without compromising operations. As electrification scales, dispatch, charging, and energy management become tightly coupled - and nihito's software optimizes across all three, so fleet operators can run electric trucks reliably and cost-effectively without overwhelming their grid connection, charging infrastructure, or dispatch planning. Together with co-founders Fabio Widmer (CPO) and Mohammad Moradi (CTO), Markus built nihito's product suite - the nihito planner, a mathematical model-based optimizer determining the optimal electrification path for the client's depot, and the nihito orchestrator, for real-time, autonomous depot operations management - around a simple principle: electrification must stay TCO-positive and safeguard operations in the background, not put them at risk. He leads sales, business development, and external communications, working with logistics and waste management companies across the DACH region.
