Luca Roccia is the Founder & CEO of GridSphere SA (Manno, Ticino), a Swiss boutique focused on consulting and turnkey supply of BESS for DSOs, commercial & industrial sites, and developers of utility scale ESS. GridSphere combines independent technology scouting with hands-on integration to deliver bankable storage projects. Luca’s teams have contributed to over 2GWh of energy-storage projects globally. Before GridSphere, Luca built the Americas business at ENGIE EPS (rebranded NHOA), and previously served in senior roles at Anixter, Eaton, and GE Industrial Solutions; he started as an electrical engineer at Tecnimont. His background spans EPC negotiation, global supply chains, and commissioning for complex energy and O&G assets. Educated as an electrical engineer at the Politecnico di Milano, he brings a pragmatic “engineer-meets-operator” approach to battery storage, translating field lessons into actionable checklists for Swiss stakeholders navigating new tariff, flexibility and grid-integration frameworks.
