Formed from the fusion of the Smart City Alliance and CityZen in 2023 the Future City Alliance has become a national association promoting sustainable development of cities, towns and regions in Switzerland with a focus on accelerating the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Cities and Communities Goal 11 (SDG 11) through improving digital governance and e-democracy, improving healthcare, encouraging innovation to make urbanisation more inclusive, resilient and sustainable, supporting innovation in the fields of energy, mobility, waste management, air pollution and resource optimisation and developing solutions to tackle climate change and are committed to promoting biodiversity.
