Mr. (Tommy) Trần Văn Toản serves as the Country Head, Vietnam, at Kosher Climate India Private Limited, a leading player in the environmental and sustainability sector. In this role, he spearheads various initiatives related to environmental and social (E&S) assessments, carbon advisory, GHG accounting, and ESG advisory for the energy sector. 

Mr. Toản has played a pivotal role in successfully registering Vietnam's First Large-scale Renewable Energy Project under the Global Carbon Council (GCC). The 150 MWAC Solar Power Project — located in Binh Thuan province, Vietnam and developed by Hong Phong 1 Energy JSC — is expected to yield an annual average emission reduction equivalent to 237,669 tCO2. https://projects.globalcarboncouncil.com/project/299

With a background in legal and technical consultancy, Mr. Toản has extensive experience in conducting E&S impact assessments and compliance monitoring for diverse development projects. His career includes active participation in projects funded or sponsored by international institutions such as JICA, the WB Group, ADB, EDCF (KOICA), EKF, among others. This exposure has made him well-versed in international E&S requirements, including IFC performance standards and Equator Principles, as well as national regulations.

Throughout his career, Mr. Toản has held key roles in institutions certified with management standards like ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and ISO 14001. This experience has equipped him with a deep understanding of quality management systems and the ability to establish and maintain E&S management systems in compliance with national regulations and international requirements.

His diverse roles as an E&S consultant, EHS manager, and E&S risk governance expert have contributed significantly to establishing efficient E&S management systems in the private sector and financial institutions. Additionally, Mr. Toản has been actively involved in carbon accounting and offsetting projects in Vietnam, aligning with climate pledges to achieve net-zero emissions, complying with NDC, and participating in the voluntary carbon market. His dedication to sustainable practices underscores his commitment to advancing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) requirements in the region.
