JETRO, or the Japan External Trade Organization, is a government-related organization that works to promote mutual trade and investment between Japan and the rest of the world. Originally established in 1958 to promote Japanese exports abroad, JETRO's core focus in the 21st century has shifted toward promoting foreign direct investment into Japan and helping small to medium size Japanese firms maximize their global export potential.

In Vietnam, JETRO has two offices: one in Hanoi and another, Ho Chi Minh City. We have been working towards trade and investment development between Japan and Vietnam since 1993.

We focus on three major targets bellow:

1.Support Japan’s Direct Investment in Vietnam

2.Promote Vietnam and Japan Trade Relations

3.Support Development of a Market Economy in Vietnam

JETRO Hanoi supports business operations from northern area to Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces.

JETRO Ho Chi Minh, established since 2000, assists businesses in Southern area of Vietnam from Lam Dong, Binh Phuoc, Ninh Thuan provinces to Ca Mau province.
