Mr. Nguyễn Phan Đính is the Country Director for EDPR in Vietnam, where he oversees the company’s business activities, including a portfolio of solar power plants with a total capacity exceeding 500MWp. He is responsible for driving business expansion, implementing strategic initiatives, and leading cross-functional teams to ensure sustainable growth in the Vietnamese market.
With over two decades of experience in the energy sector across Europe (notably Belgium and France) and Asia, Mr. Đính has held key positions in Bangkok, Singapore, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City. His expertise spans the entire energy value chain, from upstream to downstream, with a particular focus in recent years on renewable energy development and advancing the energy transition in ASEAN markets such as Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and Myanmar.
In addition to his role at EDPR, Mr. Đính serves as Vice-Chairman of the EuroCham Vietnam Green Growth Sector Committee and leads its Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Working Group, where he actively contributes to policy advocacy and industry development.
Mr. Đính holds a degree from Solvay Business School in Belgium (Class of 2002) and has also studied at HEC Lausanne in Switzerland. With a multicultural background, he is fluent in four languages: Vietnamese and French (native), as well as English and Dutch.
