Mr. Nguyễn Hải Đức is the Head of Policy, Vietnam at the Asia Clean Energy Coalition (ACEC), specializing in policy advisory, project management, and public-private partnerships. With over a decade of experience, he has worked extensively with government agencies, private sector stakeholders, and international organizations to drive Vietnam’s clean energy transition.
Most recently, Mr. Đức served as Senior Clean Energy Advisor for USAID’s Vietnam Low Emission Energy Program II (V-LEEP II) at RCEE-NIRAS. In this role, he collaborated with the Government of Vietnam, particularly the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), to promote clean energy initiatives. His work included supporting rooftop solar (RTS) projects, assessing the feasibility of battery energy storage systems (BESS), and designing the direct power purchase agreement (DPPA) pilot program. He also led private sector engagement efforts to help achieve the program’s goal of facilitating 2,000MW of renewable energy projects to reach financial closure by FY25.
Previously, Mr. Đức was the Business Development Manager at Solar Asia Pte. Ltd., where he focused on solar project investment and development across the Asia-Pacific and Africa. He also held several roles at ABB, including Area Sales Manager and Project Manager, where he gained extensive experience in project delivery and technical support.
Mr. Đức holds a Master’s degree in Management from Brunel University London and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from the Post and Telecommunication Institute of Technology. His expertise spans project management, technical consultancy, and facilitating public-private partnerships to drive sustainable energy solutions.
