Kevin Junker is the Founder and CEO of SmartSolar, a Vietnam-based energy startup focused on expanding rooftop solar adoption for businesses in Southeast Asia. SmartSolar recently secured $1.85 million in seed funding, led by Picus Capital and 2degrees, to scale its innovative solar solutions. Within six months of launch, the company has installed nearly 1 MWp of capacity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and is actively planning regional expansion.

Before founding SmartSolar, Kevin held leadership roles in fintech and strategy. He was a founding management team member and Strategy & PMO Director at Galaxy FinX, where he helped build a digital banking platform that reached over 60,000 active users and processed $50 million in monthly transactions. Prior to that, he worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company in Vietnam and Switzerland, advising clients across multiple industries on innovation, business strategy, and digital transformation.

Kevin holds an MPhil in Innovation, Strategy, and Organisation from the University of Cambridge and has studied at Tsinghua University, Harvard University, and the University of St. Gallen.
