Chiara is a Senior Energy Specialist at the Hanoi WB Country Office. She works in support of the country’s clean energy transition, including: sector-wide planning, renewable energy developments and VRE integration, energy storage systems, e-mobility, carbon markets. She also acts as the WB Focal Point within the Vietnam Energy Partnership Group (VEPG) - the platform for Development Partners’ coordination of activities in support of Vietnam’s power sector decarbonization pathways.

Prior to this engagement, Chiara worked for the WB in East Africa on large scale electrification, sector reform, regional power trade, and utility performance programs, including in situation of fragility and conflict. Chiara also spearheaded improvements in power system planning through the mainstreaming of geospatial and renewable resource development tools.  

Before joining the World Bank, Chiara was the scientific coordinator for the European Commission climate change projects, worked on environmental security at NATO, and environmental CSR for public administrations.
