As the sole legal representative and member of the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC), the Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC), founded in 2007, aims to increase awareness and foster the growth of green building practices in Vietnam. We integrate global green building principles to support Vietnam’s sustainable development and align its progress with over 80 countries internationally.

As a legally registered Vietnamese organization, we host a vibrant community of corporate, professional, and academic members and knowledge partners who believe that by acting together, we can make a positive difference. Our professional community guides the VGBC via diverse technical committees and membership voting on key developmental issues. 

Through our core activities, we bring the most up-to-date guidance and tools to support sustainable growth. These include supporting and promoting our members, certifying buildings and construction products under the LOTUS family of rating systems, educating market stakeholders, and bringing global best practice from the WorldGBC to Vietnam.
