Zaini Abdul Wahab is an energy management system consultant and trainer with over 27 years of experience in energy efficiency(EE) industry in Malaysia. He specialises in reducing business operational costs for organisations through best practices in energy management to meet business and ESG goals and has been serving local and international clients.  He obtained his master’s degree in Energy Management from Universiti Tenaga Nasional, a bachelor’s degree (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Malaysia in and certified as an expert in Energy Management System (EnMS) by United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO). He is also a certified ISO50001 Lead Auditor, a Registered Energy Manager (REM) Type 2 with Energy Commission and an accredited trainer by HRD Corp.  Since 1997, Mr. Zaini has been an active practitioner in energy efficiency (EE) industry in Malaysia and held various energy related positions in local and multinational companies in Malaysia and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and also served in the government sector at Energy Commission, Ministry Energy, Green Technology and Water and SEDA Malaysia. Mr. Zaini is now the President of Malaysian Association of Registere Energy Managers and Energy Auditors (MAREMA), had served Malaysia Association of Energy Service Companies (MAESCO) as the committee member for 10 years prior to that and has been regularly invited to events locally and internationally to present papers in EE topics.  At present, he is the founder and principal consultant at Green Pacer Sdn  Bhd which  provides consultancy and training services on energy management through the adoption of energy management system best practices based on ISO50001 and experienced with over 30 certified facilities as the lead consultant and trainer. He was also been a registered electrical energy manager for over 30 installations for industrial and building facilities in Malaysia under the Efficient Management of Electrical Energy Regulations 2008.  He had been invited as an expert to share his views on EE issues in the printed media and TV and radio stations and to keep his present visible and easily accessible, he uses www.zaini4ee.com as the main platform to share and update about his services and activities, related to the energy efficiency industry.
