Datin Lorela Chia, President, Malaysia Association of Sustainable Supply Chain & Innovation (MASSCI)

I believe in leading with purpose, driving transformation at the intersection of sustainability, technology, and leadership for lasting impact.

My journey began 3 decades ago organising trade shows, where I discovered a passion for turning ambitious ideas into transformative realities. From curating high-impact trade fairs to shaping thought-provoking conferences, I’ve always focused on producing what’s new, what’s next, and what’s impactful. I share insights and actively participate in sector-wide discussions, focusing on shaping conversations about the future of business events. Over time, I’ve grown my focus to include sustainability, innovation, and leadership across industries, continuing to push boundaries and drive meaningful change.

Demonstrating visionary leadership, agile thinking, and a strong ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, I’ve consistently driven impactful results, built long-term relationships, and addressed complex challenges with innovative solutions.

As Founding President of the Malaysia Association of Sustainable Supply Chain & Innovation (MASSCI), I advocate for meaningful change through speaking engagements and curated panel discussions. I work to build ecosystems that drive lasting progress, focusing on integrating sustainability into core business strategies. This approach creates value for both companies and communities, fostering sustainable development.

At the Machinery & Equipment Industries Federation (MEIF), I focus on advancing industrial sustainability, ensuring innovation meets today’s needs while creating a foundation for responsible growth. I work with SMEs to unlock their potential, helping them enhance productivity, competitiveness, and market access on both locally and globally. By supporting ecosystems that foster collaboration and resilience, I help SMEs navigate complex markets and achieve sustainable success.

In intellectual property commercialisation, I help turn innovative ideas into valuable, scalable assets. By laying the groundwork for solutions that reshape industries, I help turn concepts into realities, addressing today’s needs while unlocking future potential. Valuation and strategic planning are central to my approach, ensuring long-term sustainable growth.

Resilience has been at the heart of my journey. Personal health challenges had deepened my resolve to push boundaries and explore new horizons. Whether building ecosystems, driving industry transformation, or advancing sustainable leadership, my focus remains on creating lasting, meaningful impact across borders and industries.
