KT Tan, Chief Technical Officer, Viridian Solar

Dr KT Tan is the Chief Technical Officer at Viridian Solar, a UK company based in Cambridge with their renowned innovative Clearline Fusion and ArcBox products. 

He actively participates in the PV industry as both Chairs of the MCS Solar PV Technical Working Group and the BSI GEL/82 Standards Policy and Strategy Committee for PV Systems. Internationally, he is the Convenor of IEC TC82 WG8 International Technical Committee on Solar PV Cells. To further enhance his influence in the industry, he recently got elected as a Board Member of the Solar Energy UK.

As a Chartered Engineer, he specialises in new solar technologies with a particular interest in roof-integrated systems, advanced PV cell technologies and innovative mounting solutions. He also involved in the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) of large-scale commercial solar PV installations as the General Manager of Intrinsic Power.

He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (FIET), involving in academic research as the Industrial Advisory Panel of the Centre for Doctoral Training in New and Sustainable PV.
