The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is a treaty-based international, inter-governmental organization dedicated to supporting and promoting strong, inclusive and sustainable economic growth in developing countries and emerging economies.
GGGI has a unique in-country presence and prominent role as an independent, trusted advisor and strategic development partner embedded in Member and partner governments. This special arrangement or positioning enables GGGI to serve the role of an enabler and facilitator, providing policy advice and technical support in the development of green growth plans, policies and regulations, mobilization of green investments, implementation of green growth projects, and development of sub-national, national, regional capacities and knowledge.
With 52 Member States and over 29 Partner countries and regional integration organizations in the process of accession, GGGI delivers programs and projects in over 51 countries. In Indonesia, GGGI implements the Green Growth Program under the auspices of the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas). The Program aims to contribute to Indonesia’s efforts to fulfill the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC).
