Trevor Govender | Head: Project Development and Management

Trevor Govender is a Chartered Engineer with 20 years of post-qualification experience.  Masters in Engineering; Advanced Post Graduate in Project Management and Business Management  with a Pr.Eng. through the Engineering Council of South Africa. He has extensive private and public sector experience in strategy development, business development, projects development and management in key market sectors; locally, regionally and internationally. He has worked with various stakeholders on projects through its incubation and delivery including owners, developers, investors, governments’ representatives, government agencies, financial institutions, engineering companies, IPPs, Energy Traders, EPC companies, strategic suppliers, NGOs/community players, etc. Trevor is currently part of the City of Cape Town’s Energy Directorate team within the Sustainable Energy Markets Department, at a senior management level, and leads the Generation Development and Municipal Energy Efficiency branch to deliver new zero/low carbon generation assets from inception to delivery.
