Sarah Malm is the Executive Director of GOGLA, the global association for the off-grid solar energy industry. With over 15 years of experience across public, private, and development sectors, Sarah is a dynamic leader known for driving inclusive economic growth, energy access, and sustainable development. Before joining GOGLA, she held senior leadership roles at USAID—including Director of Power Africa and Director at the Global Development Lab—and led complex programs at the National Democratic Institute (NDI). Her global career spans more than 25 countries, where she has convened partners across sectors to unlock investment, scale innovation, and advance equitable clean energy transitions. Sarah holds a BA in Political Science from Middlebury College and an MBA in Entrepreneurship from the University of Texas at Austin. Passionate about climate justice and systems change, she champions creative campaigns, blended finance, and bold leadership to power a just energy future for all.
