Drs. Zeljka Vorih Davis is a senior expert in sustainability and governance, specializing in ESG-compliant frameworks within Islamic-majority regions. With extensive experience as a Board and Management Sustainability and Governance Advisor, she assists companies in integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies with Sharia principles. She holds a Masters Degree from the Erasmus University in the Netherlands; in 2015, Drs. Davis conducted a research on sustainability practices among 100 companies in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, a key component of her studies within the Sustainability program at the University of Cambridge. With over a decade of rich experience in the GCC, she provides strategic advisory that resonates with cultural and regional contexts, guiding organizations in aligning their sustainability approaches with ethical frameworks and Islamic values. Drs. Davis is currently working on her dissertation on Sharia Compliance and Modern Ethical Board Practices as part of her Doctorate of Islamic Studies. She frequently engages in international events as a Master of Ceremony, lecturer, or speaker, including UN COP 28 and the Annual Islamic Leadership Program at Clare College, University of Cambridge.
