Mr. Nicolaas Faure van Schalkwyk is a Qualified Electrical & Electronic Engineer and Energy Research Engineer specialising in the global advancement of Solar PV and storage technologies. As Harmonizer of people and technology and General Manager of the Solar Training Centre, he delivers expert technical training and specialised consultancy services to both local and international stakeholders.
His work is foundational to the industry’s safety and integration frameworks; he is a core member of various working groups, including the SAPVIA Skills Committee, and plays a leading role in developing national standards such as SANS 10142-1-2 (embedded generation) and the NRS 097 series. Faure is passionate about empowering others and he is dedicated to bridging the gap between engineering excellence, compliance and practical implementation in the renewable and distributed energy space.
