Monde is an ECSA registered Professional Engineer and a Senior Member of the South African Institute of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE). Holds a BSc Eng (Electrical) from University of KwaZulu-Natal and MSc Eng (Electrical) from the University of Cape Town. He is a member of the Council for SAIEE and the Chairman for SAIEE Power and Energy Section. He was awarded the SAIEE Engineer Year 2019. Monde is a chief engineer in power system planning specialising in load forecasting and analysis, bulk energy storage integration studies, renewable energy resource integration and microgrids.
