Caroleen Naidoo is a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) and Chief Engineer: Transmission Grid Planning at Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd. With extensive experience in South Africa’s energy sector, she leads strategic transmission planning initiatives that enable grid expansion, renewable integration, and long-term system resilience. Caroleen plays a key role in aligning infrastructure development with South Africa’s evolving energy transition goals, ensuring the transmission network can accommodate growing levels of solar, storage, and distributed generation. She holds an MBA, a BCom degree, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), combining strong technical expertise with commercial and strategic insight. Passionate about mentorship and industry development, she actively supports engineers-in-training and contributes to conversations shaping the country’s just energy transition.
