Ben Spincer, Chairman, Li-S Energy

Ben is the Chairman of Li-S Energy which is driving global innovation in lithium sulfur battery technology and the Executive Chairman at PowerPlus Energy, the leading Australian manufacturer of stationary storage batteries for residential, commercial and industrial applications. As well as his roles at LIS and PPE, he is also  on the Board of nanotechnology company, White Graphene Ltd and supercapacitor company EnyGy Ltd. Prior to joining PPE, Ben was the Executive Director of Deakin Research Innovations, responsible for Deakin’s commercial research partnerships as well as the commercialisation and translation of the University’s research. Ben has previously worked at Telstra as the the Director of Technology Strategy and Innovation, and also the Director of Investor Relations for the company, managing the relationship between the company and its shareholders after its full privatisation in 2007. Before moving to Australia, Ben was a Vice President and financial analyst at Credit Suisse in London covering the European telecoms industry and working on numerous IPOs. He also has a PhD in Palaeontology from the University of Cambridge.
