Simon Ceglinski is a recognised leader in Australia’s renewable energy storage sector and currently serves as Head of Technology at PowerPlus Energy, one of Australia’s largest lithium battery manufacturers. With more than a decade of experience in renewable energy and battery storage, Simon specialises in the design, integration and deployment of hybrid and off-grid battery systems. In his role at PowerPlus Energy, Simon oversees outward-facing technical engagement and applications engineering across the organisation, supporting installers, distribution partners and industry stakeholders with system design, integration and technical strategy. He is a regular presenter of CPD-accredited training for the renewable energy industry and frequently speaks at conferences and technical forums on topics including battery system design, quality installation practices, system integration, and long-term system performance. Simon has built a reputation for combining deep technical expertise with practical industry insight. His work focuses on developing smart energy solutions that improve operational efficiency while supporting Australia’s transition to a lower-carbon energy system. He has played a key role in advancing battery integration across a wide range of applications, from residential and commercial systems through to complex hybrid and off-grid installations. Alongside his professional career, Simon has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to community service. He has volunteered with Surf Life Saving for more than 35 years, serving in operational and leadership roles. In recognition of his service, he has been awarded The National Medal by the Governor-General of Australia, the Surf Life Saving Australia 25-Year Service Pin, and the NSW Premier’s Citation for his contribution during the 2022 floods.
