As Group Head of Business Banking, Hamad Mohamed Zayed is responsible for spearheading Emirates NBD’s Business Banking division, overseeing the bank’s operations across the UAE and multiple international jurisdictions.

He initially joined Emirates NBD in August 2021 as Head of Client Relationship – Business Banking and was subsequently promoted to his current role as Group Head Business Banking. His comprehensive expertise spans across critical areas of banking, including Retail Distribution, Priority Banking, Digital Ecosystems and Business Banking, demonstrating a deep understanding of diverse financial landscapes and customer needs.

Hamad is deeply committed to empowering Emirates NBD’s SME customers, ensuring they receive state-of-the-art banking facilities, leveraging cutting-edge technology and his regional experience to offer unparalleled choices and support for their businesses.

Career Background

Prior to joining Emirates NBD, Hamad held significant positions at several esteemed institutions across the UAE. His career journey includes key roles at Mashreq Bank, where he served as Vice President and Senior Manager Ecosystems (Business Banking) and Regional Manager Emirati Segment (Vice President). He also held various leadership roles at First Abu Dhabi Bank, including Area Manager for Abu Dhabi and Elite Gold Center, and Area Manager for Al Ain and Western Region. His extensive background underscores a deep understanding of varied financial landscapes and customer requirements.

An Emirati National, Hamad is an alumnus of the Higher Colleges of Technology, holding a Diploma in Business and HR from Abu Dhabi Men’s College.

His appointment reinforces Emirates NBD’s commitment to strengthening its Business Banking offerings and further solidifying its position as a trusted partner for businesses in the region and beyond.
