Salaam Suites Sdn Bhd

Salaam Suites is a Malaysian hotel operator running five properties across Kelantan and Selangor, with 38 staff and audited FY2025 revenue of RM2.62 million — up 16.8% on the prior year.

Two of those properties, Hotel Salaam Suites and Hotel Ma'Wa, were abandoned buildings we took over and restored into trading hotels. Neither came with books, systems or processes. Rebuilding both from nothing showed us how little software exists for independent operators: enterprise platforms are priced for chains and demand migration away from systems owners have already paid for.

So we built our own. Lumin, powered by Kira, is an AI platform for finance, HR and guest relations, purpose-built for small and independent hotels. Kira works inside WhatsApp, in English and Bahasa Malaysia — photograph a receipt and it posts the accounting entry; guests ask questions and it answers, escalating what needs a person. Payroll, statutory filings, invoicing and audit-ready books sit behind it.

Lumin integrates with the PMS and channel manager a hotel already runs — Softinn, Cloudbeds, eZee, ABS. There is no migration and no new app for staff to learn.

It is live across all five of our own properties. We are the operator and the vendor.
