Dinusha Dharmaratna has completed her PhD in Economics and her Master in Education. She has been in academia for more than 10 years and she has extensive experience in both teaching and researching. She is working as the unit leader for one of the Economics units and actively engage in many teaching and learning research projects. She is implementing number of strategies to promote active student engagement and learning in the classroom. She has researched and implemented blended learning strategies such as gamification, peer-review assessments, principles of cognitive psychology to promote collaboration and engagement.
